New SNCTM experience.

Erotic Arts: Shibari: Rope Bondage for Play
24 APR

Location

New York City @ 8:00 PM - 11:00 PM ET

Price

$400 - $800

This workshop will explore the foundations of rope bondage and how to use these techniques for connective, sensual, erotic exploration. We’ll cover a few simple but effective bedroom ties, simple body manipulation, rope handling techniques, and exercises for dropping in, finding flow, and cultivating trust and intimacy with your partner. We will also learn a few ties specifically designed for impact play: maximum exposure and minimal movement.

This workshop is designed for anyone who is curious about rope bondage, regardless of experience level. Whether you fantasize about being tied and submitting to someone else, or if you dream of doing the tying and being in control, this workshop will give you the tools to make those desires a reality.

Class will be followed by a salon-style Shibari performance, demonstrating what years of dedicated practice of this technique can lead to: fluidity, complexity, eroticism, pleasure, and connection.

About Sydona Rouge:

In March of 2018 Sydona found her way into the NYC kink scene and has since immersed herself into honing her rope practice, perhaps obsessively. She currently works full time as a nightlife performer, bondage artist, and creator. Previous to 2020, Syd trained and worked as a professional modern and contemporary dancer, and is proud of the way she melds her thirteen odd years of experience as a movement artist into her current practice. She considers her style of tying to be sensual, flirty, and delightfully sadistic. Sydona has completed over forty hours of private instruction from Milan-based Fede Kirigami and Marta Tenshiko, and has attended many advanced level Shibari intensives worldwide. She's worked alongside Hajime Kinoko for his web-style performances in each of his US tours since 2020, and in February of 2026 she's been invited to study closely with Naka Akira and Norio Sugiura in Tokyo.
